Datawin, a big-data-driven sales lead service supplier, and a portfolio company of Ventech China, has achieved 8-digit RMB monthly revenue recently. The company also started incubating project Sound Cave Intelligence internally to explore into AI application in facilitating sales people to improve efficiency. In August 2015, Ventech China invested USD 5 million in Datawin’s Series-A financing.

 

Started in 2013 as a pure sales lead supplier, Datawin has now grown into a comprehensive sales outsourcing service provider, with 8-digit RMB monthly revenue. Through APIs with client’s CRM system, Datawin acquires primary features of clients’ existing and lost customers, and completes user portraits through web crawling from information sources including government, industry & commerce administration, media, etc. With detailed client features, Datawin is able to identify potential customers (sales leads) for client companies. The core business of Datawin is a sales outsourcing service that helps client companies to reach such potential customers with its own 300 sales people, and generates a list of customers truly showing interest in experiencing or purchasing products for client companies.

Datawin successfully seized the result-orienting psychology of client companies, who prefer direct customers rather than simple sales leads or sales analytical tools. The sales outsourcing model can bring more direct value to companies, because it truly discovers interested customers, therefore clients are willing to pay for such service. Datawin has acquired clients from finance, education and software industries, including large institutional clients like GF Bank, Ping An Insurance, Hujiang Education, etc.

 

Keeping the momentum of its sales outsourcing business going, Data win has also started the project Sound Cave Intelligence within the company, to help improve sales efficiency by AI in two ways: for simple conversation scenarios, smart voice assistants will replace sales people to conduct primary conversation with clients, as the conversations are relatively standardized, and such simple and repeated work can be done by AI; for scenarios with sophisticated conversations, AI technologies can be used to analyze customers’ personalities during conversation, and give key advice on sentences or facts to use, to effectively arise customers’ interests. Sound Cave Intelligence is still at stage of internal testing, but it has already improved sales performance significantly for Datawin.
