Renxin Technology, a start-up focusing on automotive high-speed SerDes chip, has completed the Pre-A+ round of financing invested by Huashan Capital, Haiwang Capital and various other funds.

Renxin Technology was established in February 2022. Its main business is automotive chip design. In late 2022, Ventech China RMB fund invested in the company to accelerate the deployment of the automotive chip start-up.

The funds raised by Renxin Technology in this round will be used for continuous product research and development, market promotion and business operations.

As smart cars continue to evolve into smart cockpits with high-end ADAS technologies, among with camera sensors will generate massive amounts of data every day, and the processing of this data requires higher-level computing chips and greater storage capacity with more support for high bandwidth, lower latency and more flexible transmission interface solutions.

The data transmission from the camera to the domain controller, or from the domain controller to the display screen, is often a long-distance, high-bandwidth real-time transmission, which is the main reason why the automotive high-speed SerDes chip track has attracted market attention. In the industry, only Texas Instruments and ADI generate the general transmission speed of SerDes chips is between 2Gbps-8Gbps.

Renxin Technology is developing SerDes chips with higher transmission rates. At the Shanghai Auto Show in this April, Renxin Technology's 16Gbps automotive high-performance SerDes PHY was officially unveiled. According to Renxin Technology, the product is backward compatible with full rate 22nm process and can support long-distance transmission of 15 meters, and has an insertion loss compensation capability of more than 30dB. This is two generations ahead of peers.

In terms of interface capabilities, a single chip and wire harness of Renxin can support the front-view solution of two '8 million high-definition cameras'; in terms of system solutions, Renxin has adopted a more integrated deserializer solution, and through insertion loss Compensation capability to support car companies to choose more cost-effective wiring harnesses/connectors, "This helps car companies to achieve cost reduction of millions of dollars in a model cycle." The CEO of Renxin Technology said.
